Experienced Childcare Professional (20+ Years)

Hello! I am a native English speaker with more than 20 years of childcare experience and over 10 years of experience working in international schools and educational settings. I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree and have a background in psychology, child development, and family support. I have worked with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school-aged children, and teenagers, including children in foster care and those facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges. My experience includes childcare, education, mentoring, and supporting children’s overall development and wellbeing. I believe children benefit from having both structure and the freedom to develop their own interests, confidence, and independence. My approach is warm, calm, and relationship-based, with a focus on creating a safe environment where children feel supported, respected, and encouraged to grow. I am currently working toward establishing my long-term professional path in Germany and navigating the recognition process for my qualifications. In the meantime, I am looking for meaningful work with children and families while I continue that process. As a mother to a nine-year-old daughter, I also bring personal experience of the day-to-day realities of raising and supporting a child. I am calm, reliable, and able to connect with children of different ages and personalities. I am comfortable caring for children of all ages and look forward to supporting a family in Berlin.
