Part-time live-out nanny in Pankow - extended deadline
Our two-year-old needs a new nanny starting April 1 (or possibly sooner). You would care for her while I work from my office in our two-story apartment (I work upstairs in my office, you and my daughter have the downstairs, where there is a kitchen, family room and big yard). She's easy going and lots of fun ' but she takes up a lot of energy! Pankow is quiet and full of parks. It's also well connected (U2, S-bahn, Bus, Tram) to the rest of the city.
You would be responsible for:
--picking her up at the kita at noon
--putting her down for a nap (usually two-three hours)
--meal planning, grocery shopping and preparing food (two meals a day ' lunch and dinner)
--feeding her lunch, healthy snacks and preparing dinner to pass on to us when you leave at 6.
--taking her to dance and music class in the afternoons
--doing research on various topics related to her development
--coming up with games and creative play
--taking her to the playground, museums, etc.
--setting up and taking her to playgroups, etc.
--doing her laundry and other child-related tasks
--Recent experience taking care of children, ideally as a full-time or part-time nanny
--Passion for nannying and children
--Training in child CPR (or willing to take a class)
--Creativity and lots of ideas
--High-level of responsibility
--Proactive and enthusiastic
--Native English speaker with some German
We offer plenty of perks, including Nespresso coffee, honesty, kindness and respect! There's also the possibility of you coming along with us on vacation (in Europe), during which you'd maintain similar hours.
If you're interested, please send a note explaining why you're qualified for the position. We'll carry out interviews the week of February 12.
